My work for Tinder
Since 2021, I have been working as a Dutch Language Manager for the dating app Tinder. I have established the tone of voice for the Dutch language and manage the glossary and style guide.
On a day to day basis, I manage all Dutch translations in the app and
I am also responsible for ASO, PR and Marketing materials.
Tinder App Store Optimization
To optimize the appearance of the Tinder app in both the Google Play Store and the Apple Store, I have localized different sets of ASO images to represent the app. This includes localizing the names and the copy, to make sure it engages potential Dutch users.
Tinder Press Release Assets for Product Launches
I work closely with the PR manager for Benelux, as I translate and review press releases and snackables that are sent out to Dutch media.
As part of localizing press releases, I am responsible for translating visual assets as well to support new product launches.
Tinder Safety Features Communication
At Tinder, member's safety is priority number one. As Dutch Language Manager, my responsibility in this is making sure that our communication about our safety features or safe dating tips are translated in the right tone of voice and informs the audience in the right, empathic way. We regularly release informational readouts for members, journalists and the NGOs we work with, to keep everybody up to date about our work on Trust and Safety in the app.
